2001 A6 2.7T , Sticker $45,400. Is a $2000 discount a decent deal?
Given the $4000+ spread between invoice and MSRP on these cars, I'm not sure this is much of an offer, even for a 2001 model.
Any opinions?

This really depends on your market and whether or not you are ordering. I have an order in and am waiting. At 45400 minus 2000, 43400 does not sound too bad, depending on the options. If this is a car without options then the 43400 sounds a bit high. I am in Florida and friends in Chicago, where the car is much more popular, have mentioned that about $2500 off MSRP is an acceptable price that both parties can tolerate.

If you can live without quattro, (not sure where you are located) I have been hearing people ordering new BMW 530i's for October deliver.. One example I saw was one guy in the NY area who paid $43,300 MSRP-$46,245 for a 530i not loaded but nicely equipped with steptronic auto transmission, Xenons, in-dash CD, with the Sport & premium package..
That's a good deal considering the poor service reputation I hear a lot regarding Audi and how overpriced BMW's are...
