A6s burned up during PDI

A6s burned up during PDI
I know of 3 new A6 2.7Ts that have burned during the PDI - one basically wiring loom and ECM in the shop, one wiring loom and flames under the hood on PDI test drive, and one that started with the wiring loom and burned the car to the ground.
They didn't happen at the same dealership, either.
Audi is trying to figure out what's going on. On 2 of the cars the dealerships have been instructed to replace the wiring and sell the cars!
Has anyone heard of this happening elsewhere, or are dealerships being quiet about these occurences?<p>John Stahmann

Mine did not burn, but smoked on delivery (about 2 hrs after PDI was completed)
Three days later the engine quit. It has been in the shop since awaiting a new wiring harness. The tech told me it is the 3rd car with such problems he has seen, but did not mention cars burning to the ground.
