Relay 605 for 'limp mode' steering, other ideas?

Relay 605 for 'limp mode' steering, other ideas?
I popped the panel and had a look at where it is. It's actually easy to see if you look up the left side of the steering column. In any case, access via the fuse panel is truly impossible for anything but a small kid.
I'll try and take out the 8mm bolts over the weekend and try this.
On the topic of overboosting, I wonder what would be the effect of putting in an oversize pulley on the power steering pump? This would reduce the flow, perhaps for a happy medium between limp and overboost.<p><a href="http://registry.audiworld.com/audi/registry/details.asp?car=5325">
