Ming blue/vanilla & royal blue
If you're still undecided, your best bet is to go to a dealer and see them in person. This is something that only you can decide.<p>mpuzach

He's out this week, but when I spoke to another sales guy there (@Anderson-Behl), he told me vanilla/royal blue (which I planned to change to) is different between 2000 and 2001 and really doesn't look as good anymore. They have a B.Black/melange demo on the floor.
So, I figured I'd try another dealership. The Palo Alto sales guy steered me hard-left and said ming blue/tungsten grey (which I decided to change to after v/blue got shot down) is a combination Audi shouldn't offer because it looks like a Pontiac Bonneville. He gave me this line about "not being able to sell [me] a car like that with a clean conscience." He did have a black/melange to sell...
Of course, melange is the interior I see on all the models and I particularly *don't* like its brown-ish tints for a blue car. I love ming blue, though.
I suppose I don't feel very comfortable not being able to see what I'll get. The sales folk are pushing melange HARD, like everything else sucks.
There are only 4 interiors for ming blue. Van./Royal blue, Van./Onyx, Melange and T.Grey. I find it hard to believe that Audi would ship 3 unpalatable combinations.
Maybe I need to spend some time trekking to distant dealerships this weekend. They may have different models to show.
Never spent $55K on something I haven't seen before...
Thanks for all your help!

I ended up with Melange (Jaspis Green ext.) and it's just fine. The vavona wood and pearl aluminum look great with melange.
