South Bay Audi folk/where to go for service
I'm in South San Jose, working with Anderson-Behl for my new A6 4.2. Any comments at all on service or pricing? I've been told that there's no discount off MSRP due to scarcity.
Also, how are Audi dealers here about service? Any GOOD stories or just nightmares and marginal service?

I tried dealing with salespeople at Anderson twice and walked away believing that their last jobs must have been flipping burgers. Both guys had little product knowledge plus an "attitude" I got much faster delivery on my car from CarsDirect.com The service dept at Anderson is ok..no compaints for my 8k service....you'll just have a 5-6 week wait when your schedule your service.

Ouch! Concord, eh? That's a wee bit far isn't it?
A 5-6 week wait for service sounds pretty outrageous. Did they give you a loaner? Was it a "while you wait" or a "we'll call you in a few days when we're done driving your care around while you're paying for it..."

I've ordered an A6 2.7T from Carlsen. Their service on my A4 has been so-so. But it's the most convenient location for me. I'm hoping that buying the car from them will help a bit (I got my A4 from an out of the area dealer).

There are smart people at Anderson
I have had a horrible experience with the Service operation at Carlsen, but a fabalous experience with their parts guys.
As far as Sales folks at Anderson-Behel in San Jose, go see Hinrich (Hank) Butt. He has been around forever there, and knows his products. Tell him Gary sent you, and he better treat you right!<p>Gary Lieber
