ECU Codes- which one should I pick?

I think I used 15981
Which retains the two-push opening and horn honk, adds auto up/down windows with remote, and adds auto-locking/auto-unlocking. FWIW, I thought I'd hate auto unlocking, but in reality the auto-locking just reminds me to lock the doors so I never get auto-unlock.<p>Richard

I don't understand your last sentence about locking the doors so you don't get auto unlock... I understood that all 4 doors would lock at 15 mph and all 4 doors would unlock again when key was removed from ignition. Is this not true?

The auto lock code does precisely what you have described on my 2000 2.7T.
Where are you folks with remote window operation located? My dealer, Bernardi in Natick, MA refuses repeatedly to code the remote window function. They claim AOA will not compensate them if anything goes wrong with this unauthorized change.

I'm in Denver, and my dealer didn't say anything about problems with AOA. Of course he hasn't actually recoded yet, so I'll believe it when I see it. I pick up the car on wednesday.

Please, which is the code for windows and doors to open with one touch? I would also like auto lock
above 15 MPH but is it available without auto unlock? If not how does the auto unlock work? I am taking my car in for its 1st service in 1 1/2 weeks and would like to request these.

Auto-unlocking defeated by locking doors...
If search were running I could point you to my posting on this some months ago...
In short:
Auto-locking locks any doors which you unlocked but didn't lock - once you hit 20kph.
Auto-unlocking unlocks any doors which were auto-locked.
Pressing the lock button after auto-locking defeats the auto-unlocking.
In my case, I dislike auto-unlock, and usually lock my doors manually. On those rare occasions that I forget, I hear the doors lock and just press the lock button again - thus preventing auto-unlock. Works out great!
I bought VagCom in part to be able to change the locking codes myself. (I'm in COS, and would be happy to let you recode yours yourself using my VagCom.)<p>Richard
