Yet another newbie
I took the plunge a couple of weeks ago and got what I think is a great deal on a 2001 A6 2.7T Tip (Ming/melange, preferred luxury, premium, Bose, cold weather)...............all for $1197 over invoice. No hassle deal (done by fax and phone). Car had 7 miles on it when I received it. So far flawless except for the little compartment in the front of the driver's door that won't stay shut all the time (getting replaced next week). I've been monitoring this site for 6 months; thanks for all the expertise! It made my deal possible and took the "fear factor" out of the purchase.<p>Andy Sonin

In Baltimore/DC area. I wanted the sun shades too, but no one could locate a vehicle with them as well as the other stuff, and I didn't have the patience to order one.<p>Andy Sonin

Congrats - you have excellent taste... I have the same combo but in a 2000 model.
My driver side door compartment also won't stay shut - I really have to whack it. Are you having probs. with the large one on the left or the smaller one on the right? (Mine is the right one).
