In the UK Audi are having a hard time.
What about in the US?<p>Haseeb Ali
The S60 is just being introduced here. S40's seem to be selling well, but I see a WHOLE lot more A4's, and way more A6's than S80's.
And here's a news flash: a few weeks ago, I saw a pair of A3 mules driving through Coldwater Canyon. One had the four rings covered up with duct tape and the other was au natural. So another model may be appearing here soon. However, based on the last few reviews I've seen in the Brit car mags, the Golf 4Motion is preferred over the A3 Sport.
The 2.7T has 230hp - this is a fact. For marketing reasons in the US it is sold as having 250hp (just like the 2.8 litre is sold as having 200hp when it has 193 in reality, while the Passat with the same 2.8 litre engine is sold as having 190 when it also has 193 - to keep the brand image gap).
The 2.7T, you can check the specs on audi.de anytime (I repeat - this is the same car that is sold in the US), does 0 to 100 kph (or 60 mph) in 6.9 sec (manual), and 8.0 secs (Tip).
The only car in the A6 line that does under 7 secs 0 to 60 mph, with Tiptronic, is the S6, which does 6.7 seconds.
Audis are good cars with solid performance - no need to invent phoney data to try and make them look better.
A.
