Audioablo: 16" Contis and tire pressure

I said I run 38F/36R, to which you replied "I think I'm still running factory spec (pretty much the max)." and then something about 40psi.
I didn't go look at my doorframe again, but I thought it was recommending 34psi F/R for the 215/55-16 all-seasons. My Contis are marked 44psi max. Thus, my comment about raising tire pressure to 38F/36R. Are you running 40 F/R? Does your door panel recommend different numbers?
I think FrankC and some of the 17" guys are liking 38ish, but I'm just a 16" guy

FWIW, my car was delivered substantially below door panel pressure - so one shouldn't assume the tires are anywhere near recommended pressure at delivery

Right now I'm at 41F/39R on my 17" SP-9000's. I like it here.

I usually start at door pressure and almost immediately add a few pounds to it - assuming I don't cross the max in doing so. My 38F/36R is just where I am in current experimentation. Curious what's working for others with the 16" 215/55 Continentals.<p>Richard
