I want the following for my 4.2 w/sport:

1) A tip chip - PES, pablo1?
2) A lightweight exhaust
3) An engine chip - PES, pablo1?

I'm inclined to wait for other chip products to become available. Also, I have my dealer looking into the exhaust issue. There's a shop in Kenosha, WI that does work for them. Of course I'll keep you posted.

Any other ideas?

Do engine/trans chips void the warranty?...

I spoke with PES about the engine chip for the 4.2 and the tip chip. They say it depends on the dealer.

Letter of the law says yes, but cool dealer helps.

srosie, I would definitely go with PES. I'm very happy with the performance and they stand behind their product. There isn't much of a choice anyway. As far as the warranty goes it does come down to the dealer in practical terms but if something goes wrong and you can't prove that it was the chip, legally, the warranty is still in effect in the US. If you find an exhaust that is freer flowing and gives some V8 rumble (not loud) we may have to make it a deuce! Good luck buddy.
