Update on Aux fan siren sound

Called dealer today to get a status of car. The tech found that a piece of rubber had protruded in there and was interfering with the fan. The relay burnt out and was operating on hi only. I'm not crazy!!! Just looney!! They have odered the parts and hopefully fixed today.

Aha! 'HI only' makes sense!

I'd never heard my fan do anything but full blast. Yesterday's observation of the fan was that it was in LO, that's why it was so quiet. I did notice today that it was louder in HI but still at an acceptable noise level.

I wonder about that relay - it must be part of the fan? My fan does HI/LO now so either the relay is integrated or mine was never burned out.<p><a href="http://registry.audiworld.com/audi/registry/details.asp?car=5325">
