I can't believe this happened to me today .... (long)
It only gets worse. While I was signing the papers with the business manager, I asked him if we could see the car again, just to take a better look around. He said that when we were done, he would show it to us again. Well, that never happened, as I was signing my papers he strolled off to other customers leaving us in the dust. I walked over to him as he was showing a couple a car and asked him what was going on? He said that he was busy now, and that if we could go look for ourselves downstairs. We found our way to the bottom parking lot with no help from him and looked at my new car in the dark and with no keys. That was about all my girlfriend could take, she stormed upstairs and asked the secretary to get the key from him because she knew that he was with another customer. He told her to wait 10 minutes. She was like "we just bought a car from you, asked you to show us the car, you walk away and help other people and tell us to go look at it ourselves, now you want to tell me to wait ten minutes?" I guess he could tell that she was mad because he just handed her the keys. When we came upstairs he was still with the customers so we handed him the keys and left. My girlfriend was pleading with me to cancel the sale but I couldn't pass up this sweet deal. I figured that I would finish the deal and tell Audi about it when they did there follow-up. During the pickup, he tried to be extra nice but really got me mad when he insulted my girlfriend for acting the way she did. I was like "are you kidding me, after what you did to us your lucky I'm buying this car, your lucky that theses cars sell themselves" he tried to say that it was a busy day and he had to move on... come on!!! He had the nerve to tell me "When the rep from Audi calls take care of me, it's very important!" I let out a sarcastic laugh and was like "uuuhhh YEAH, SURE, WHATEVER"
Well Audi called me, I told them everything that happened -- there was more but these are the main reasons -- they apologized for my bad experience and told me that they would send an "alert" to the dealer and to Audi of America. I was happy with those results and asked that he (the salesperson) not contact me -- he's that type of guy!
Well guess what, I get a call today at work from this guy and he's going off on me. That I lied, told him everything was good and some other bull. I was like "why are you calling me", he starts like yelling at me, calling me a liar and other things. I couldn't believe this!!! He kept yelling then hung up on me! I promptly called Audi of America to report this, they were stunned, filed another complaint and gave me the dealership's head manager's name so that I could speak to him. I called him, he told me that it was their policy to pass customer complaints back to the salesperson to follow up on... but a complaint like this??? do I want to talk to this guy again, no, and to get yelled at by him, what the... is going on there. I told him that if he continued to call me at work that it would take this to another level that I didn't want it to lead to -- this was out of sheer anger-- he agreed that the salseperson was wrong for what he said but stuck to the policy of letting this person call me. I was stunned, just didn't make sense. He apologized to me and assured me that this would be the last of my contact with this person. I assured him that I still held the dealership with high regards, just not this salesperson. They have always taken care of me before and i'm not gonna let one bad seed spoil this.
i'm sorry for the long rant but I had to vent and felt that other Audi owners would like to hear some of this. This is definitely a first for me and I wish it on no one.
Has anyone else had an experience this bad??
00 A6 2.7TQM

So, I asked to speak with the sales manager. He wants to know which car on the lot I'm interested in. Hmmmm...what we have here is a failure to communicate. it was a busy Saturday, so we just got up and walked out. Ended up buying an Infiniti. (I30 - same car as the Maxima, but nicer trim, and much better sales/service!)
My sales experience with Audi was quite good. The saleman let me abuse him on a "spirited" test drive (6spd 2.7t). I told him I wanted the car, but just not that color. (it was Ming Blue...sorry ming!). He actually got the allocation list, and we selected a car that was in port, with almost all of the options I wanted. (Also Silver/Onyx 6spd 2.7tqms). Then the price negotiations - took 3 minutes. I presented him with the dealer costs and list prices - told him he could make his money - poof, done! Whole process was about 2 hours, spread over 2 days. (Test drive was 1 day, deal was done next day)
I will say that they still don't have their act together quite like either the Mercedes dealers or the Infiniti dealers. I have had very positive sales and service experiences with both of those brands...
DLow

If you're in the area, don't EVER go to Almaden Mazda. They're a bunch o' scuzballs! Same as you, if I didn't end up loving the car in a few days while they dragged their feet on taking it back. I was sick of my rental and it looked awful cute sitting in the parking lot.
Some salespeople should be shot on sight!
