Default Greyhounds fit in Audis

Hey A6Q-TN, my greyhound just fits in the back of an A4 Avant. However he can lay only one way, side to side. When he stands he kind of has to stand diagonal. I plan on having the seats down most of the time. When people are in the car, he stays in the back. Greyhounds tend to lay down in the car so it works out.
- George -

Default Watch them slide around when you turn corners fast.

My greyhound doesn't like cars anymore. Only trucks.
2000 2.7T Pearl White/Vanilla-onyx

Default OT: Try a doggie seat belt (seriously).

You can get 'em at Petco or over the internet (pets.com?). They have a long foam pad in front, a good harness and a looping strap in back where you pull the shoulder seat belt strap through and buckle up. They come in different sizes and work with the dog lying down or sitting.

Default My greyhound fits in both my A4 and A6

I also had him in a rental Neon 4-door the other day.

The deal is to make them lay down, then all is well and frankly they are safer during braking and cornering. The other deal is a wonderful one-piece vinyl contraption that I purchased for my BMW. It's a factory-made piece that fits many cars other than BMWs, hangs from front headrests to rear headrests, you might have to get the service dept. tech to scrounge around in the fiches to find it.

Default Definitely. My Kelpie will only lie down if the seat heater is on...

and then she just snores happily. Otherwise, it's much more fun to watch the drive, apparently.
