When the kids first saw the car they thought it was great but was I going to get THAT color? They really like it now.
Well, It does handle great around the corners, the brake diving is non-existent and I have a better feeling of control of the car. But the ride is definitely harsher, perhaps not overly so but more than I was expecting. I can feel all the repairs and uneveness in the pavement and the CD player now skips, which it never did before.
Was the tradoff worth it? Only had the setup for a week so hard to tell. I was told by Eddie that it takes 2-3 weeks for the system to settle in. I like it now but will I feel the same way in a year? Maybe. I feel like I bought a car that had all this engineering put in to make it a smooth ride and that is now gone.
I like the lowered look, so maybe I would have tried the Audi Eibachs first by themselves and kept the stock shocks and see how that was. Would cost more in the long run for two separate installs, if the shocks were changed.
Perhaps I'm just spoiled from the GS and should test drive an S4 or M3 for a better comaprison of a sportier stock ride vs aftermarket.
I now realize that there are trade-offs in doing this stuff, otherwise the mfgs would build it in to begin with. They have to deal with compromises and so do the aftermarket guys.
