Default Alarm System

Yesterday and today, at different times, the alarm went off by itself. The car was locked at the time and there was nobody around the car. Has anyone else had this occur ? Thanks in advance.

Was your sunroof open? I had it happen tp me once when the sunroof was open. Seems air currents blowing in can set it off. Never happens when it is closed.

There are motion sensors inside the car that can set off the alarm

The car was just sitting in my driveway locked.
The other time it happened I was coming out of a store and the alarm was ringing. Strange.....My Acura had a similar problem, which as it happens was a faulty computer in the door, and once that was switched, it worked fine... Oh well

Default Mine did it a couple of times...

The second time I realized that I had somehow triggered the panic button on the key fob while it was in my pocket. I had set down at the breakfast table and something in my pocket pressed against the panic button.

Mine did it once. I think there was a fly caught in the car, and that set it off. Notice any flying insects?

I had this a couple of times last year - happened on both occasions after a heavy downpour. Took it to the dealer who interrogated the system and found three different error codes all unconnected. Erased the codes and since then no problems.

Sheesh, if flies, breezes, etc can set off the alarm system, I'd better know how to turn it off once it sets itself off. Does pressing the panic button on the key fob stop it?

Sometime after washing the car, the alarm beep would take
a second longer after locking the car but seems to lock and
arm the alarm. A few minutes later the alarm would trigger
and the light would flash as if there was a break in attempt.

I still got to figure out which sensor is water sensitive and get
the UD (useless dealer) to replace it. Let me know what you
find.
