Default That is wholesale before reconditioning and warranty.

Not so bad when you put 3 or 4 thousand back on top.

Why get a used A6 4.2 whey you can get an A8 4.2?

Default Speaking of lemon law cars

What happened to my 2000 2.7t. I didn't actually go to court so the car was not leagally declared a lemon. In addition I signed something saying that Audi was making no admission that anything was wrong with the car. I was never asked if there was still anything wrong with the car (there was) so I don't think it was fixed.

I suspect that most of these cases are settled without court so most of the "lemons" are probably never declared as such. I was assured by AOA that the car was going to be legally declared a lemon but I have my doubts.

I mention all this in regards to these wholesale prices because; 1.if these include "lemons" that would drastically bring down the numbers and AOA had a lot of lemons in the 2000 model year. A local BMW dealer once had a "good will buyback 740il that sold for about $10,000 less than other similar cars so I imagine a registered lemon would go for way less than other cars. 2. How do you make sure when you buy a used car that it was not a "lemon" legally or otherwise. In other words, how can you verify a used cars history, last owner, etc.

I'd use these values to estimate trade-in value, not retail.

Default Add no more than 10%max for retail. However, the prices are within the expected depreciation margin

Audi prices(used) will stabilize. It just takes time for the used car sector to strengthen and firm up. Used Audi will grow in popularity and the availability of extended warranties will help this happen. The 98's and on are going to be popular used cars and this will bolster the prices. The first year is always the most painful.
