Cleaning question
During my first good post winter cleaning, I noticed that the small piece of what looks like clear plastic film in front of the rear wheel wells, has yellowed. Has anyone tried pulling it off or found something to clean it?
BTW the car is a silver 01 A6 purchased last June. I noticed the plastic film the last time I waxed the car, before the snow. But it didn't seem to be yellowed. Since then I just been washing the salt off and never noticed the yellowing.

I have a silver 4.2. I have noticed the same condition you described. I also have a small piece below the rear doors on the rocker panels. I am sure it is there doing its job protecting the rear fender from stone chips. I have decided that I am far better off with them on than off. Wide wheels may look great but they are hard on fenders.
