Default 15,000 miles on my '01 2.7T and only one gripe...

the silly little retractable pockets in the doors only close about 10% of the time.

I have the same problem on passenger side only. My daughter is the only one who can get it to close. She just really slams it and it works every time. I try being careful and it just won't stay closed.

Default Door pockets

Just glance cross-eyed at mine and the drivers door pocket opens. Has anyone found anything that actually fits in them? I have a cleaning cloth for my sunglasses stuck in mine. They are an odd size and almost seem like there is a purpose for them besides irrtating me.

Default Mine work fine, but I ignore them, the larger ones are perfect for about 5 cds, however.

I think I'm going to keep the plastic wallet key in the little one. I just hope mine doesn't become defective also.

The pockets on mine work fine so I will keep my fingers crossed, but the coat hooks, now there is a worthless bit of engineering.

Default I keep change in the small driver's side pocket

It's not easy to get the right change for something like a tool booth but I rarely need it anyway.

it may just be a coincidence, but they never seem to close when the in car temp is above about 80 deg. Below that, not too many problems. May have something to do with the lubrication they use.

Default I keep my record book in the driver's side...

I record mileage, etc. at each gas purchase in a small spiral notebook. Of course, I had to cut it down before it would fit. So far, the pocket in my allroad has only opened by itself three or four times in five months - so maybe they're improving in the new model? (LOL)

While I'm on the subject of cubbyholes, is the A6 glovebox as shallow as the one in the allroad? It looks so wide from the outside, but I can hardly stuff anything in it. It's only about three inches deep at the bottom.

It's a wonderful car, but it sure could use more effective stash places in the passenger compartment.

Default Gasoline receipts seem to almost fit! :-)

Mine haven't opened on their own once yet, and the glove box sounds the same in the A6.

My sunglasses fit in the "fur" lined pocket. 2 CD's, phone, wallet in the larger one.
