Noticed new wheel on TireRack.com for A6 - Millie Miglia A1 (17x8), priced at $169/ea.
(Hopefully this isn't OLD news...)
For any A6 owners who like the style of the 2.7T non-sport 16" wheels but prefer 17's, consider this wheel. It looks nearly identical to the OEM wheel. Probably not one of the stronger wheels on the market, but a cheap 17" for summer if you like this style.
(Naturally, this wheel fits ALL A6 models)

What makes you say they are probably not too strong......
I've been looking at this wheel to replace the 6 twin spoke wheels on my 2.7T when it arrives in June. I'm new to this so appreciate any advise you have. Are MM wheels typically not well made or troublesome?

Hmmm... I'd better be careful here. Some people only want opinions founded upon first hand...
...empirical evidence. I'm sure that if I express an opinion that some don't agree with, I'd surely get flamed.
Here goes: I can't say they SUCK, but I heard it doesn't take much to bend them. Label them as you wish...

What makes me curious is...
Why is there such a huge difference in price between something like a MM A1 for $170 and a stock S4 wheel for $400ish. They're both made of aluminum, I think they're both cast and machined afterward, aluminum is cheap, so the only difference can be quality control? What else? I'm trying to understand the big picture here with regard to wheel prices.
I can understand a big price difference between a cast wheel, forged wheel, and something like a 2 or 3 piece wheel...
Eddie at Tirerack once wrote me that all the wheels they sell for the Audi have the German TVG or whatever its's called rating.
Obviously I know squat for wheels.
