A6 Rear Sunshade Install - Help!!
I just received my rear sunshade from Clairs', but NO directions came with it. Could someone please email, post or fax the directions along with any mounting diagrams so that I can install it. Thanks in advance for any help.

I install the sun-shade myself and it's not that difficult to do. First put the sunshade on the rear deck and try to make it center. Then mark 2 points under the sunshade where the screws are going to go through the deck. Find a position so that you can drill through the deck from the trunk. You have to get a drill bit that is just bigger that the screw. Slide the screw in the sunshade and push them thru the hole and tighten the lock nut. Pull the sunshade and at the top of the window, push the clip to the roof panel so that them can be attached to the hook of the sunshade.

Sorry but it was last year when I installed the shade and instructions have long since been tossed.
The sunshade install is simple. You do have to drill the rear deck but that was easy. If I recall, I first placed the shade on the rear package, hat shelf and then marked where the holes needed to be. Be sure that you do not place the metal frame of the sun shade so far back that it actually touches the glass of the rear window. Otherwise you will get a very annoying vibration rattle and will end up re doing it. You then mark the screw holes. Whether you drill up or down does not make that much difference since the hole is covered by the shade frame. You should make a visual check first to ensure that you will have clear access to affix the nut to the screw from under the metal support frame for the shelf. The hard part was getting the nut and screws put on since the metal frame for the rear deck has kind of small holes you have to go through. The shade holder clips to hold the shade in the up position just snap on to the headliner between the roof and head liner. That is it. not very hard just time consuming. Sorry that's the best I can do with out the GERMAN instructions that came with mine.
