Some questions about Roadside Assistance . . .
As I understand Roadside Assistance, it simply adds an Audi layer to the process. Is this correct? Do I really want to do this? I'm probably going to keep the family policy for the other folks anyway.
The posts I've read on experiences with Roadside Assistance weren't positive. Do I want to bother? Any thoughts would be welcome.
I smiled to myself on the way home, sometimes spending $40+ large does have it's privledges.
Best Regards,
Rick
I have only called once and that was after my recent accident. They would not come out for an accident. Being unfamiliar with the conditions, I thought they would come out for any emergency. A tow is a tow just as long as it's a flatbed.
Audi roadside told me to call my insurance company and arrange for towing through them (naturally my insurance co. did nothing - I ended up calling a tow company myself from the ambulance- got blood on my cell phone- had to pay cash because the tow driver only accepted cash - he came to the emergency room to get the cash - with my car on the back of his flatbed - I was like a superstar with an entourage - I brought the whole accident scene to the hospital with me). Bad mojo again.
It's free and other than a few posts about delays, it seems to be a nice perk. I would still keep the AAA for other family members.

So watch out if you are on a hill and need a tow!
I was going to file a claim but audi roadside assistance just referred me to the local shop and they were not cooperative at all.
Oh well it's just some scratches underneath the front grill.
