Problems With My 4.2
My GPS system just stopped working. It won't turn on. In addition, the ABS and ESP warning lights just came on last night. I don't know what's up with that as yet. I've had intermittent problems with my right xenon headlight not working (of course not when I take it in for service) and my telescoping steering column has a mind of its own with respect to when it wants to telescope.
All in all it's getting kind of frustrating. The car drives great, but I'm getting kind of tired dealing with Audi service.
April could probably explain this better than I but it is not necessarally the dealers fault that they are not finding the cause of your problems. AOA only allows so much time for troubleshooting a problem. If the dealer spends more than the alloted amount of time on a problem they may not get paid for it. AOA or the area rep can authorize additional time so it gets done correctly.
The insurance company should just buy the car and then sell it, which would relieve them from any potential future "hassles" from you, if there are any problems and thereby, limit their liability.
Either way, I wish you luck and hopefully there will be no ongoing problems
