Spoke to soon about good servicing...
Also, fresh oil stain on the garage floor, which has been completely pristine until now. My other car, at 77,000 miles has yet to drip...I've always used Q Lube or SpeeDee for my oil changes.
I called about the problem and was told to "show up" early Monday. They'll have to keep the car for another day, especially since I don't have an appointment. Darn! At SpeeDee, they can change the oil in 20 minutes and have me on the road.
I'm impressed about the other stuff they did well, but not too sure what to think about this.
So, fair warning, wait at least 21 days for the "we forgot to put the plug in the oil pan" chorus to expire.
Bri ;-)
p.s. A good sign is that they want you there first thing in the a.m. instead of making you wait a week or so.
Friday i noticed a rattleing noise from my front end. i drove to Park Audi in Lawrence MA. where i bought the car.
i walked in at 9:00. someone test drove the car at about 9:05. said he thought it sounded like struts. but they would have to get it in to make sure. parts runner gave me a ride home. was home by 9:30.
at 11:30 they called and gave the bad news. it was the struts. of course Audi Assured didn't cover it. they could have the parts on Monday.
while there they replaced the headlight washer under warranty and did a LOF. reset those pain in the butt service lights. washed and vaccumed the whole car.
then had it ready at the time they said they would and gave me a vase of flowers.
all as a walk in on a friday. pretty amazing after all the stories from everyone else.
