Default some helpful soul tried to debadge my car

I have this dent next to my 2.7T on my car. I had long thought that some jerko tried to remove my 2.7T, presumably to apply it to his A4. I have good reasons to think this, but they are really unimportant.

Now, a year later, I noticed while washing my car that the left hand side (next to the dent) of my 2.7 logo is actually peeled away from the car. So this pretty much confirms what happened to my car.

Anyway, I have a question: how should I reattach the logo? Does anyone have a suggestion as to what kind of adhesive to use? My first thought would be "shoe goo" kind of sticky adhesive. Sound good?

I don't want anything I have to spray, it could get all over the place.

There is a special two part car outer trim adhesive. Most Pep Boys have it.

Default starting to be a regular there

I was just there this weekend getting a taillight bulb (P21/5W) and the last 8 quarts of Mobil 1 0W-30 in the Santa Clara Valley.

Default I think Miata owners use these as aftermarket; any Mazda repair shops nearby?

Or you could try Brainstorm Products on the web.

Default try "speed shops" locally

Every tricked out car at "Hot Import Nights" had an Optima, so the local Civic/Integra speed shops must know where to get them.

Now, do they have one in the right capacity for your car?

Default Why do you want an Optima battery?

Optimas are a big fad in 4-wheeling, so I checked them out for my Montero. I concluded that, unless you plan operating your car upside down regularly, they're just another case of "it-costs the-most-so-it must-be-better" hype, And, if I remember correctly, the touted warranty has some trapdoors if anyone but an Optima dealer touches the battery.

Default I used plain old 3M double-sided tape...

It has about a mm of foam thickness. I used it to put the rings back on the trunk. I thoroughly cleaned the rings of all previous crap, then laid 4 strips of the tape. Then I used a pen knife to carefully cut away the unneeded tape before applying it to the car. Took a while to do it properly, but it worked out great.

Default they're the bomb

I think much like the exhaust pipes tuned Hondas have, the Optimas don't help with anything. I don't think they hurt though.
