...17" Avus Wheel Installation...ISSUES?
I just purchased a set of Avus 6 spoker take-offs (can't wait to get them on!), but was wondering if anyone here that has done it to their 2.7T has had install issues.
Is this a strait R-n-R, remove and replace job? No special lug nuts/bolts etc? I bought alloys for my 87 Westfalia (the Carat wheels) to replace the standard vanagon steels, and the seller failed to tell me there was special hardware (ouch--those nuts were EXPEN$IVE!)...
anything to worry about here?

Just put those wheels on last weekend...
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/414/a6avus04.jpg"></center><p>...and they fit fine. Personally, I think the 17's look a hair too small for the A6 body...the 18" Avus wheels from the S8 would look perfect, I bet. So I think I'll be swapping these wheels back to my A4...

I got a set of S4 Avus wheels of my dealer. They were take offs of a new S4, some customers upgrade wheels/tires and sometimes the dealers have take offs. I paid $1250 for set of 4 with Bridgestone Potenza RE040 225/45. When they are worn out I will get a set of 235/45.

they're 17" x 7.5", the S6 wheels are 17x8, but i couldn't wait to find those some day.. hehe
i paid $950 for 4 with the Pirelli's...are those a different optional tire or somehting? i have seen a bunch of people say theirs came with Potenzas...

Those are Dunlop Sport W-10 size 235/40/17...
...and as I said, those are actually the wheels and tires I've been running on my A4, which has a slightly smaller overall diameter wheel spec. I plan to switch the wheels back very soon...
