Dashboard Rattle
I have a 95 A6 2.8Q that I love...except that there is an annoying rattle just above the glove box. I had it "fixed" once; the mechanic tightened one or two of the bolts that are not part of the glove box, but up underneath next to the firewall. The fix didn't hold for long. Anybody else have a similar problem and/or can suggest a more long-term solution? BTW, putting felt around the glove box opening did not alleviate the rattle.

I have similar problem, there was a tech service bulletin about this
Involved removing the panel just below the windsheild on the outside of the car and putting felt in certin areas.

Hmmmm... well that's certainly a new twist. Handn't thought about going there! Would you happen to know the approximate date of the tech service bulletin? I cannot ignore the rattle! German machines should NOT rattle :-)

I have a "chirping" rattle somewhere on the passenger side...any ideas of where the source could be?
