You hoooopeed I would, but alas...

I would rather spend $50k on a Lotus than $40k on a 4dr Audi sedan.

IF I were you I would starting selling off your mods to get the price down.

Enjoy. Have you joined the Lotus club yet ? How about lining up a mechanic ?

I'm not trying to scare you, just being realistic. Having worked for a shop that repaired British cars, I would consider the average owner experience with regards to reliability, to be a little worse than Alfa. Ownership is very hands-on through neccesity. However, most Lotus owners are thrashing their cars;-) In both cases, a good support network is important.
