A J Auto Detailing
...had their Express Detail Plus (for dark-colored paints) today. $50. They did a really nice job. Next week, I will Zaino, though. It was kinda gloomy today, but I definitely remember my car looking glossier before.
AJ is expensive, but highly recommended. No cheap towels and such. Also, they don't wax your car in the open sun, which really damages things.

$50 doesn't sound all that expensive to me
Especially if they did a good job. What did they do for you? Also, I'm curious - did you have any of the spider web-like scratches (from washing/drying) in your finish before the detail, and did the detail remove them?

My new car has been washed only at AJ, some fine scratches...
They waxed it and have washed it ever since. I've been washing closely, and I have some fine scratches, but not too bad.
The mini detail is not a wax job, but a careful wash and some detail work.
Last week, the car was really dirty, so I washed it myself using deionized water and air dry. It got more fine scratches from that than from 4 washes at AJ's.
I'll be going back for a new polish and wax job next month. I'll let you know if the scratches are reduced.

They're in San Jose, CA. Fine scratches are all gone.
I only have a few glazed spots from bird dropping damage that can only be seen if you know exactly where to look. It's brighter today, and I'm pretty impressed by the job they did. Very, very, very, very, very impressive for $50. If it weren't for having to find a ride home and back again, I'd let them do the whole ordeal (interior and exterior two-coat wax and detail).
