Porterfield R4's went on today...more....
Front: P/N AP Audi-S4
Rear: AP 228
Notes: larger pad surface area, fr & rr. I chamfered the leading edges on all pads - didn't help. They still squeal like a pig when cold.
Fronts: fit with a little grinding of pad backing plate.. Easy DITY install - no special tools. 1/2 hours tops once you get them to fit. No wiring for sensor - just jumper the female plug, cover with shrink wrap, and whala - no error lamps.
Rears: DO NOT FIT!!!! The tab for the spring mount is too tall to fit under the caliper. So for now, stock pads are still on the rear - does anyone know of a set of track pads that will fit the rear calipers?????
How they work: don't know yet - will break in tonight when traffic dies down. Seem really dusty so far, but so what they are a track pad. WIll use with stock wheels running 225/50-16 Kuhmo Victoracer tires.

I imagine you've already called them direct on the rears, if not, do so as they're good people to work with and should respond.
R4S's are geared a little more to street in terms of squeel and dust but don't have the friction coefficient of the R4s. Do give us the report after the event.
