Default If you have one you can live with, I would.

My 2.7T came with a sligt distortion out of the driver's line of sight. Since this has been an issue since I began visiting this board about 1 1/2 years ago, and others have had an experience similar your experience, there doesn't seem to be a certain fix.

Default yeah, have had 2, second is worse

Didn't change it again because I was afraid it would get even worse. If your latest seems no worse than the others I'd recommend sticking with it.

You do get used to it, as lame as it is.

Have had two and all are bad. I am just living with it. Although I was at the dealer recently and was given a 01 2.8 loaner and it had no distoration. Go figure.

My Audi Page

Default I've got it too, but am living with it. Are anyone else's low beams too low?

The dealer tells me they're right on, but they seem low to me on remote country roads.

Default xenons are like that

If you get out in the countryside but not quite totally dark, Xenons cutoffs just seem too close. That's part of the tradeoff I guess.

I had the same thing on the way to Tahoe. Its really not as bad as you think, I think the brightness of what is illuminated tricks you a little into thinking the distance is worse.

In the end, use your brights when you can and you'll get by.

Default This seems a less frequent problem the last several months, but...

I would definitely try to get one that doesn't give you a headache.
Since noting all these Audi windshield problems, I have looked at other cars...and to my surprise have found that a lot of other makes have slight distortions also...American cars were generally the best, but still slight vertical wavy lines when looking at an angle...they all have it. BMW and MB also do, worse than the American cars I saw, but still not visually disturbing or headache producing. I have a couple defects in my rear windshield, but I don't drive backward too much, so it doesn't bother me. Aside from minor vertical waves, that I don't even notice anymore, my front windshield is pretty good...except for the tiny rock chips.

Default Yes, this is quite noticeable in non-urban areas

where ambient lighting is low. I end up using my brights a lot.
