Default seat covers

I have a lether seats. I have enjoed it until my kid start running around the car. He also likes to hit back of the driver's seat. So I want to buy some kind of seats covers. Can anybody recomend something? Would seat covers help or make things worst?

Thanks.

Default Just tie the little bugger down (hands and feet) ;)

Seat covers would probably help. I'd go with the type that is meant for the muck and wet stuff. I think Body Glove makes some and something like Keole Wet...something like that...there's an ad in the back of car mags...someone else here probably remembers.
Or take the little dudes shoes off...socks do less damage.

Default Strap the child in a proper car seat

Research here in the UK has shown that an unrestrained child (or dog for that matter) in the back of a car can kill the driver or front seat passenger in accidents as low as 30mph.

Assuming the child is not old enough to know better they are unlikely to be able to reach the back of your seat with their legs,

Default I didn't take it that the kid wasn't restrained...

I took it that the kid likes to sit there and kick and beat on the backs of the front seat, etc.
If the kid is unrestrained, that is a sick, disgusting thing to do...no child should be unrestrained in a car...it is the job of the parent to protect them, not the kid's job...very trailer-trash to have an unrestrained kid, or a kid in the back of a pick 'em up truck...besides the "against the law" part of it.

Default My kids and 6 and 7...

and my seat backs look bad already. The paint will chip off of the molding around the map pocket. Otherwise, the rest of the material is cleanable.

When I used to drive a Suburban, thier little legs could not reach the back of my seat!! It was great.

Once they get a little bigger, they stop kicking. The problem is they start TALKING!!! This is a much bigger struggle to your mental health than the seat kicking.

Default The ones I saw a while ago claimed airbag compatibility, but I am...

away from my stash of car mags and info.
Part 2: velcro shoes...no problem (I don't have kids, BTW)...I work with infants everyday and I can't ever seem to get them bundled back up the right way like the nurses do...maybe my kids'll go shoe-less...like the trailer trash

Oh yeah...what's not CONSTRUCTIVE about tieing the little monster down???

Oh yeah...another thing just for you, the cyanoacrylate works great on the lips of the screaming little madmen
