Anyone have info on the Audi "Owner Loyalty" rebate? (no.radar please read)

I heard there is a $1000 cash rebate for second time buyers that expires Sept. 30th. Anyone have the details or more info they could post, email or fax.

I don't think this program expires, but is ongoing

Or at least that's what you should convince your salesperson!

9-15 01 . I got a $1,000 added to my trade in. Owner loyalty program. Doesnt come off the top.

My AoA (not dealer) printed piece (# ICN 18029) specifically says "September 30th." Better rock!

By the way, the program is titled "Audi Lyalty Advantage."

Full text of key message:

"Congratulations. As a current Audi owner, you are entitled to special financial considerations when you lease or purchase a new 2001 Audi by September 30, 2001. To activate your Loyalty Advantage, simply complete the reverse side of this certificate (basically, name, address and current VIN) and present it to your Audi dealer. And thank you for choosing Audi."

Oh, and the S8's specifically excluded...****.

The BMW CCA has an ongoing rebate program from BMW NA.

It seems to "renew" each month...(more)

I cashed in on it back in May; it was supposed to "expire" on 5/31/01; they announced on 6/01/01 that it would extend to 7/30/01, and so forth.

FYI, when I cashed it in, it was very simple...too simple it turns out! There was no paperwork or anything like that. Then, two months later, I get a letter from my dealer that "after an audit of their records, it seems that I still owed them $1000 dollars". I called my salesman and told him; never heard about it again. But it did kind of shake my confidence in the whole transaction. Sloppy record keeping.
