I got it back...can't remember why I was mad
I was cruising along with no other cars at about 55 when all of a sudden, out of nowhere, this set of headlights coming flying up right behind me. He got so close that I couldn't see the headlights in the rearview. I switched lanes and he jumped up next to me. Blue Pearl WRX Sport Wagon. Lil' bastard. So I dump it into 3rd and take off like a missle. So does he. He gets in front of me doing 80. I quickly catch up. We both slow down for a couple of S turns and he proceeds to destroy me in the corners. Now I don't know if it was because I have driven my car twice and was a bit, well, scared or the Subaru is one bad mf'n ride. I'm thinking a little of both. Anyone else have any choice encounters with these $24,000 rockets?
Also, if you are not used to Quattro, learn first, to get the best out of it. Your Audi must not be driven like a 2 wheel drive car.
With the Quattro, turn late into the corner, clip the corner a little after the apex. Apply power early, accelerate or if you chicken out, at least keep some power all the way through the corner. Always keep your hands at 10 to 10 on the steering and try not to change gears in the middle of the corner, in other words choose the right gear before the corner.
As for the WRX, it is a fast car, which handles well, but once your car is run-in and you have some practice as to get the best out of your car in corners, then you should be able to keep up with the WRX.

Let the turbos cool down before switching the engine off. In other words if you have been trashing your car at high rpm, do not switch your engine off immediately thereafter, wait at least a minute or more idling. This procedure is also valid for the entire life of the car.
