need help on college essay:
i'm taking this course in writing at my university and was wondering if u guys could help me out.
basically, i have to choose a controversial topic of public interest, do some fun researching, and write a 10-15 page essay for the entire quarter. but i'm a bit unsure on what topic i should be writing about. i was thinking somewhere along the lines of "raising the speed limit", xenon lights, SUV's, blah blah blah... what do you guys think? i would really appreciate your input. if u have a point of view on something, i would be grateful if u could tell me your thoughts on it. i have writer's block right now =(. thanks.

well...
i have to write about two sides of the issue. such as "the use of cell phones while driving is bad because," and "the of cell phones while driving is good because." i can't really think of any "good" reasons to allow cell phone use while driving.

public safety vs. personal liberty (and the associated responsibility).
In Texas, we just put into effect the first open container law for alcohol.
Same issue.
Or you could do like I did in college and pay a real, real smart high school student to write it (joking?? Maybe, maybe not!)
