Here's the info from phillips comparing stage I and stage II.

Stage I vs. Stage II

The major difference is in found in the bulbs. Stage 2 bulbs run at 6000k and are composed of a gas mixture that emits a very purplish hue, Versus a Stage 1 kit, which run at 4300k, and emit a very white light. The stage 2 system is the same exact system found on the European Le man Race cars. This system eclipses any other automotive lighting system on the market today. Nothing can even match the light output.

It's the same pic...one fuzzy, one not!!! Look at the grass on the side of the road and the gauges!!

 

Can you get these for the high beams or low beams only?

 

I am thinking about getting this kit or waiting for the Bi-level Xenons for the 4.2 coming soon.

This stuff will become very illegal... Everyone hates to be blinded. without the self leveling mechanism as in the OEM options, the HID will just aim at where it was originally set. I am not sure, but i think the housing or reflector (or whatever you call it) is different on a regular bulb and the beam pattern is surely different.

I agree that HID gives much better illumination, but this will be the wrong kind that causes problem for other motorist.

Any thoughts?

 

Agreed. They'll have to try harder to pry the greenbacks from our wallets.
