Eibach Pro-Kit on the sport 4.2, they are on and work perfectly.
The front measured 26 1/2 to center of wheel opening now it is 26" .
The rears were 26 1/2 and are now 26 3/4". This would kind of tick me off but the car feels so much better.
I have contacted Eibach in California, they were very helpful and they want to see the car, they will adjust my springs after the SEMA show.
Where the car is a real let-down to me is in how the suspension allows the car too much yawing in corners. It almost feels like it's yawing back and forth, right to left, with the body being amazingly flat at the same time. Makes the steering feel weird and wishy washy (technical terms).
What was your motivation in installing the springs? Did you have the Sport package? Did you also have the sway bar(s) installed? What wheel/tires do you have, and what air-pressure do you run?
Many thanks for all of the input. I'd be willing to do the upgrade, but I'm guessing that it's more of a shock-absorber/rebound issue that's making me feel queasy.
Anyone else with suggestions and/or comments?
My motivation for buying the springs was performance. I love track events. Lowered center of gravity and more resistance to roll in the corners. Originally I ordered them for my non-sport suspension car.
When I traded for my new sport susp.car I was amazed at the difference in handling between the 2.(and I had installed the thicker swaybar). This takes it one more level without sacrificing that great ride quality I enjoyed with my 1st Audi.Apperance is secondary but of course I want bothe ends of the car close to the same height.
I'm sure Eibach will sort this out, as they are very interested in thier techs seeing the car.I think a little patience on my part will go far to getting the rear springs( and future springs) correct for our cars.
I hope to make that get together in Nov. then you can test it for yourself.
