Default San Francisco Bay Area A6 Gathering - Saturday November 3rd : 2nd Post

It sounds like Point Reyes will work for everyone, but still uncertain about meeting time. Feedback?

Here's the same post from 9/8/01 except for the addition of <b>brian 4.2</b> and <b>Finchick?</b> (send or post a note about joining in!):

-----------------------------------------------------------

So here is the list with everyone who has replied regarding the <b>San Francisco Area A6 Gathering : Saturday, November 3rd</b>. It sounds like a fair division between South Bay and North Bay people, with a couple in between.

Please post here if you are interested in joining in, or send me an e-mail (<A HREF="mailto:A6@parallaxview.com">LMGotts 4.2</A>) if you like, I'll probably continue to make this a new thread every week or so and add names as people say they'll be there. I'll send notes out as well, but a few people I do not have e-mails for as you do not have that feature activated here.

Questions:
- How long does everyone want to spend that day?
- Do you want to go for a short or a long drive?
- What time to meet?

Maybe a few of us could meet on the Peninsula, a few in the East Bay and then we could converge in S.F. (the Marina offers ample parking and good photo ops), then head up to Mill Valley for coffee. From there we could head out to Point Reyes for lunch and more photos. We could be done by lunch, or....not. Please send or post comments if you have other ideas or suggestions (I'll send all the data to Finman for processing, averaging, tabulation, etc.). I for one would like to keep it informal and A6 oriented ('cept for April, of course) as much as possible - bring yourself, your car, beau's, cameras, stories, etc.

I would <i>not</i> like to be the guy that everyone points a finger toward when fifty S4's show up, ready to go racing. Just a kindly meeting with us responsible, mellow(er) (?) folk and our stealthy, boring A6's. ;-)

Likely to show, in absolutely no particular order:

<b>Stoney</b> - Nemo Blue 4.2
<b>Definitely an A6 4.2!</b> - Nemo Blue 4.2
<b>Wilfred</b> - Ming Blue 4.2
<b>Metz</b> - Light Silver 2.7T
<b>JimBob</b> - Ebony/Brilliant Black (?) 2.7T
<b>April/verdegrrl</b> - Alfa Milano or 164LS, aka "press cars"
<b>Finman</b> - Light Silver 4.2 [<i>uncertain at this time, but working on it</i>]
<b>Finchick?</b> - Amulet Red S6 Avant [<B><I><BIG><font color="#FF0000">!</font></BIG></I></B>]
<b>GregW-2.7T</b> - Ebony/Brilliant Black (?) 2.7T
<b>mcbaes72</b> - Light Silver 2.8
<b>Chris JB</b> - Jaspis Green 2.7T
<b>LMGotts 4.2</b> - Light Silver 4.2
<b>SF4.2</b> - Light Silver 4.2 [<i>regrets, will be having fun on the East Coast</i>]
<b>Mike4.2CBW</b> - Casablanca White 4.2
<b>Wireless</b> - Cashmere 2.7T
<b>mpuzach</b> - Racing Green 2.8
<b>brian 4.2</b> - Green 4.2

Best Regards,

-<i>Larry</i>

Default Yeah, I'll be there...don't know about Fingirl or Finchick...she certainly...

will not be there in a red S6. As long as those scumbags don't hijack and crash anymore planes and no dots weather forecast for Afghanistan does not come true in the next month, I am off that weekend, woohoo
Where is this Pt Reyes place? You don't really hafta tell me, I got a map somewhere.

Default I would suggest that we not drag out the meeting too long ( as much as I like you guys and all ),

for the reason that it would be cool keep it fresh for future meetings. If we try to drive all the roads, and yak about everything, we could get burned out. Some folks may have domestic duties that would be harder to escape the next time, if we hog the whole day.

Default I would vote for an early start (avoid some traffic too), hit the road, and make lunch optional.

And in any case call it a wrap after a lunch break. Most of us will have a long haul back home if we end up in the North Bay, so if we meet early, drive, then stop for an early lunch snack somewhere we could wrap it up decently early. Or if some wanted to stay around, so be it. I for one don't tend to make these events very often, so I'd be willing to keep on hanging out for a while.

Believe me, I am <b><i>not</i></b> an early riser either (especially on Saturday AM), so that would be a commitment from me!

Default Let me know what your favorite tunes are and I'll burn us all road CD's for the ride

I might even make a commemorative CD cover if you all want to e-mail me a few cool A6 pics or photoshopped stuff. I am a CD pyromaniac so it truly wouldn't involve much effort on my part. As long as I can pilfer your faves on-line in MP3 format we should be OK.

Default South Bay group needs approx. one hour to get to SF

So not too early. I'm starting work at 7 am these days, so appreciate some sleep.
Hey South Bay, last I checked, Stoney, Wilfred and myself were meeting at Anderson Behel and caravaning up to the meeting point. Anyone else from down this way?
