Agonizing over custom color--16 hours to ordering A6 4.2
I know it's the A64.2. I know I'm ordering every option (except the ski sleeve). I know I'm getting the platinum interior. It's the damned exterior that's got me whipsawed.
I eliminated Aviator Gray. I liked the look on the TT but as has been mentioned here, the A6 is much larger.
I love Nimbus Gray. I love Atlas Gray. Dolphin Gray doesn't do a lot for me (saw it in an A4).
Hell I thought the Desert Green and Moro blue were magnificent--but they adorned TTs. Moro looked more iridescent and deeped than Ming, but they could be the same color and I was so confused by that time anyway.
The Burgundy Red Pearl, sold in the UK on the S6 looked good, but that was on an A8--a much more traditional looking car.
I'm going from memory on the Atlas. Saw an Allroad three weeks ago--none since. I'm comparing a real life TT roadster in Nimbus to the S6 Avant photos (Atlas) in the forum.
I assume the Atlas will hide dirt better and not spot as bad as Nimbus (my assumption). I also assume that Atlas is more along the lines of a deep metallic gray, ala Sterling Gray in the BMW line or Seal Gray in the Porsche line. But Nimbus is intriguing.... any last minute words of wisdom? I already flipped a coin and if rolled into a floor vent.

The Atlas will be custom mainly to you. The average onlooker won't know it's special. If you want to
stand out a little more, then Nimbus is the way to go. Still not flashy, but it will be distinctive.

Have seen pictures of the S6 in Atlas and it looks great-->
dark but not black. A few years back I had a company car in a metallic gray very similar to the Atlas. It made the car look much more classy than it was and it always looked clean.
