I changed the oil and filter in my A6 and now...
The ABS and Brake warning lights are coming on and the car won't start. Doesn't crank, or anything. I can't think of anything I did even close to the brake system. Anybody know what's going on?

Re: You got me! I've changed my own oil and I did not notice any way to render the car useless...
You might be better off calling roadside assistance, have them come get the car and take it in as "it simply will not start". Good Luck and let us know the result.

Have you checked the battery yet? They can completely die at anytime. Turn your headlights
on, with the ignition in the on-position of course, and measure the voltage across the battery
with a voltmeter or DMM. Is it normal or low?
If it is low, say 7-8 volts, it is a dead battery.
If it is the battery, after replacing it check the charging system.

You were right! The battery was dead. It was reading less than 5 volts with the lights on. I charged up the battery and it started right up, no problems. I realize now that I had left the ignition in the "on" position for about 20 minutes and this ran down the battery.
