Sometimes it helps to screw the pistion out a litle and then start screwing it in. Remember to apply some pressure when screwing in the cylinder too. The **** fit in the two slots shown in the piston below.

A good tool would be nice. With two people (one to hold the brake assembly and cube tool, another to run the ratchet with both hands, it wasn't too bad. Alone it would be a PIA.
No grinding required. This was from Autozone and fits on a 3/8" extension.
