Impressive True Hands free Car phone

Having given up on Audi Car phone, I saw this voice controlled integrated car phone kit for my Qualcomm phone.

Just by coincidence had been checking out this issue for my wife's car. Nokia makes an accessory unit that converts their model 8260 into a hands-free car phone. The convenience feature is that the phone can be snapped in and out of the module at will, for continued portability when leaving the vehicle. System is designed so the brackets cause no screw hole damage to the dash. Phone is charging when in the module, and is also connected to a hidden antenna and microphone. The
unit, including antenna and all installation, runs for about $300.00. True, they don't give it away, but it certainly does make using the 8260 a lot easier.

I was under the impression...

that the Nokia factory 8260 car kit merely provided a charger and hands free, but not external antenna or power boost (either of which works to extend the phone's range).
