a6 bose radio to new cd reciever

a6 bose radio to new cd reciever

I just put in an awia cd (link shown) deck into my a6 avant with a bose system. I was told it could be done but now there is an engin noise when i rev the car. I tried a filter on the main power line but that did not work. If anyone has tried this or has any suggestions please post them and be very specific. Is it a whine?

Is the noise a whine that gets louder with RPM's? If so you need a better power source and a GOOD power filter. Crutchfield should be able to help you.

Make sure the radio is grounded properly.

Some radios need a better ground than others, check to see where it is grounded and rub of the paint if any. Some installers are lazy and use their own ground instead of the factory.
