is anyone having problems with thier vents

I was wondering if anyone else is having problems with their vents. The interior of my car always fogs up especially the windshield and the front two doors. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

You don't have it recirculate (economy) mode by any chance?

I thought recirculate (turns on the air coditioning) de-humidified the air therefore no fog.

I thought recirculate just cycles the air in the car without bringing in fresh air. It's been my ..

experience that the fresh air does a better job defogging the windows.

No, the reason recirc clears your windows

is that it uses the A/C compressor. Reason? Liability concerns by AoA attorneys.

Have had this happen to me on long drives when outside temp is very high with high...

...humidity (in AUTO mode). Hypothysis is that the glass gets more direct cold air contact that's in combat with outside hot glass surface when air is emitted from the windshield top defroster vent and side front window defogger vents. I aleviate this situation by changing vent configuration to dash vents only (middle position). After a few minutes the condensation on the windows begins to lessen. If your experience is in a high temp/high humidity situation, then this should work; where are you located?

That almost sounds like the AC dehumidifier may not be working. On a rainy day

when I take off and there is a little fog on the windows the blower will clear the windows pretty good. On a long wet trip where the car gradually fills with humid air turning on the A/C for 5 or 10 minutes is what I like.

Now if I could roll down a window on a rainy day ad not get soaked that would be the "preferred" method. ;-)

Hmmm...Absent a leak in the heater coil which can cause fogging in cold, damp conditions...

...I'd make sure you're in "auto" mode, and not in "econ" mode. Auto mode makes use of the a/c compressor above freezing temps, while the econ mode does not blend "conditioned/de-humidified" air. In colder wet conditions below a certain temp level (I forget the exact spec), you can run into fogging situations due to the a/c compressor being cut-off.
