Wow! I've underestimated the S6: "Acceleration: 0-60 mph in 0.0 sec. 1/4-mile in 0.0 sec ".......
Lots of errors throughout the article like the one above, so confidence in Heraud's report is weak.
Evaluating the A6 by combining the results of the A6 3.0L with the S6 (and everything in between) is stupid- hence the "65%" Performance rating.
I can hardly wait he lumps the 525i with the M5.

I smell BS. I personally watched a brake test of the stock system
a6 4.2 60-0 113'. they must have been on old tires. We were doing 128' on bald tires! This was durring the Stoptech brake test. It would not have been in the testers best interest to cheat the stock audi numbers lower as we were comparing stock to Stoptech distances.

If you compare 2001 and 2002 reviews you will find that this year's review is largely recycled. Look especially at the Pros and Cons list. He lists the sluggish performance of the base V6 as a Con on both lists. I think the 3.0 is much improved over the 2.8 and so do many professional reviewers.
His performance data for the 2.7T is significantly different between 2001 and 2002. I doubt there is a .5 sec. 1/4 and .4 sec. 0 - 60 time difference between the 2 model years.
I'm wondering if the 2002 car came with Goodyear RSA's like he reports the 2001 came with ;-)
The report card is word-for-word from 2001. Even the "NNoise" typo from 2001 is duplicated in the 2002 report card.
Not only lazy but sloppy too.
