Hey S6 owners...!
Can't speak much about mileage since I only have 400 miles on it. But, the first 200 miles or so, including 17 pre-us miles, through city streets and about 80 highway miles at up to 85 or so...we got just over 15 mpg. Since then, the last 200 miles, mostly highway, with a little city...getting just over 18 mpg according to the car computer. My 4.2's computer is 7% generous, so it is possible the S6 is also a little generous.
I think the only way to consistently get better mileage is to put it in tip mode and shift up quickly while not using it to its capabilities...basically emasculating it!

Or, Audi could just add a 6th gear as an overdrive for highway cruising without much passing power.

Once it's broken in and I can get some highway miles in, I'm sure I'll be around 17. The Volvo got about 15.5 which included several long highway trips.

The computer has been, on average ~7% more optimistic than reality.
I expect the S6 to accomplish ~14.5 in the same type of driving.
