I just picked my car back up today from the bodyshop and decided to go back to the dealership to pick up my replacement cargo cover. I walked into Scott at Clair Audi (who sold me my A6...I really like working with him) and he introduced me to a Silver S6 on the lot.

He asked me if I wanted to try it.........he didn't have to ask a second time.

To those S6 owners amongst this group. You have a wonderful car. This thing feels absolutely different than anything else in the A6 lineup. The suspension was supple but firm. The steering was direct and accurate..not too much feel but definitely okay...Acceleration..I did not try cuz it was brand new....some other person will treasure this so I did not push beyond 4000 rpm. Wonderful torque and power.

The Grey on Grey Alcantera and leather worked well. The dash looks great. The seats are really good. The sound is slightly muffled but comes in pretty nice and power......gobs of power...

After a brief spin, I had to take it back....needed to get to work. So I got back in my A6 2.8 Avant and on getting onto the main road, I gassed it and laughed out loud....in the S6...I would have been already half way down the road...in my 2.8...it was just getting warmed up...

So now I have to try to convince my better half that the S6 is something we need versus the convertable that she is eyeing and the A4 that is sitting a few bays down from us in the parking lot. Whatever the excuse, it will be worth it.

I guess I just have to dream about torque tonight.

one of her German friends about her S6 experience. Used words like rocket, wonderful, comfortable, nimble, quicker than hers, responsive, surprised at how manuverable. And she drives A6 2.7T 6-speed.
