How low should I go w/ KM Coilovers?

How low should I go w/ KM Coilovers?
The KM Coilovers are going on today. The tech took a measurement w/ stock suspension from level ground up to apex in fender well. He said it's rare to have all four corners exactly the same, but mine is. The svc writer said "most" ppl go to the middle setting. Riiight, like there's sooo many ppl in this one horse town dropping their Audi's. Besides, where IS the middle setting when there are 6 positions :<
I told him to start with 1 1/2 in lower, and I'll go have a look. Thnx Muhammad, your lowering simulaton pic was just about right. Are there any things to consider when going very low? What about tire clearance, or ride quality? Will most likely go with some 18's in the near future, A8 Avus's maybe?
