turn signal weirdness

turn signal weirdness

my right turn signal now blinks twice as fast as the left and the bulb seems dimmer while flashing.Do I just need to change the bulb or is it something more? TIA.

Sounds like blown bulb. Turn it on and walk around the car looking

for blown bulb.

Yes...either that or the car's telling you it's accelerating to 80 and looking for a WALL TO HIT!!

thanks.

the bulb in question is still working but dimmer than it should be.that's why i thought it might be something else.

Yes, one needs to be replaced. One of mine ->

started doing this before the blinker went out, but was on the way. I put on my hazards and walked around the car - everything was blinking just fine - which puzzled me. As I stood there looking at my beautiful car - the passenger front which had just been blinking happily started to fizzle. Smart warning system.

Could be bad connection with bulb or the holder.

had the connector for headlight not plugged in, the turn signal was going at ludicrous speed!

Plugged it in and presto, normal. Found out when I turned on the lights and no headlight! Daughter actually was the one who wedged her hand in and got the plug and jammed it back in place : ). Afterall she is my famous 'pit crew'
