Noon Wednesday 9/18: Come see Audi R8 and other Le Mans cars race through San Jose, CA...

Noon, Wednesday 9/18/02 at Cesar Chavez Park, San Jose. Come early, or wait to the end, for autographs. Bring your Audi manual if not your "Audi Years at Le Mans" book. Last year, they handed out posters promoting the following Sunday's race.
This was great last year, very noisy and fun, with cars racing around the oval park at high speeds, just feet from normal traffic. Great photo op.

Last year, Tom Kristensen (Audi) and Jan Magnussen (Panoz), two of the best race car drivers in the world, were there (with family, in Tom's case). This year, Johnny Herbert will be there with a Champion R8, along with other unnamed drivers.
