Does someone have a pic of the rear childseat connection points? ('02 A6)

This email came from a new owner...(are they hidden by a cover like the '02 A4?)...

my owner's manual says that the 2002 A6 3.0
comes equipped with the new LATCH system for child carseats.
However, I cannot locate the LATCH anchors on the backseat of my
car. I've spoken to my dealer, who had no idea what I was talking
about. He finally located the anchors on the 2003 A6, but can't find
them on the 2002. I would assume that my car should have them since
the manual says they're standard. Does anyone have any experience
with this?

Here's what the trunk looks like in a 2001 A6 Avant. You can see 2 of the 3 latch points...

Not sure if the 2002's have them or not. They're not actually located on your backseat - stick your fingers into the gap between the seat bottom and the seat back and move it left to right - can't miss them if they're there. There should be two metal anchor bars / hooks for each side. The retrofit kit I got from Auid(for 2001 and before) actually came with four hard plastic guides (that you can see sticking out between the seat and the seatback) through which you insert the carseat's LATCH buckles so they are lined up with the metal hook. Not sure if the new models have that or not. If you need the kit it is free of charge, including installation.

I believe he's talking about the newer connectors between the seatback and bottom

How come there are no bottom anchors for the middle seat position? There is a tether-hook-thingy on top in the middle. I thought the middle was supposed to be the safest position. (I don't have any kids.)
